Iran short film ‘Not Yet’ wins big at Busan Int’l Short Filmfest

Iranian film ‘Not Yet’ has won two prestigious awards at the Busan Int’l Short Film Festival in South Korea.

Iranian director Arian Vazirdaftari’s ‘Not Yet’ has nabbed two impressive awards at the Busan International Short Film Festival in South Korea.

The short film grabbed the grand prix at international competition section as well as the NETPAC Award of the festival's 2017 run.

The 15-minute film is about Hasti who has just turned 21. She studies abroad and her parents in Iran want to congratulate her online.

The short film had its national premiere at the 33rd edition of the Tehran Short Film Festival in November 2016 in Iran, winning the award for best fiction.

The 2017 Busan International Short Film Festival looks into the current trend of international short films and presents four program categories. It includes Official Competition, Guest Country Program, World Shorts and Shorts for Family under which subcategories are associated respectively.

The 34th edition of the BISFF was held on April 25-30, 2017, in Busan Cinema Center, South Korea.
